It has been a tumultuous two years since our start. Our mission of bringing together and celebrating rural queer and POC voices is no less necessary, but my energy has dwindled. Life has thrown me changes I can’t juggle along with this magazine. It pains me to write this, but Mount Island will suspend all publishing activity for the time being.
I and remaining staff will gather again in 2023 to consider what resuming activity might look like. Thank you all so much for your support. We hope to see you again.
